Hey Everyone, So we have a daughter and expecting another baby (too soon to tell ;) and I’ve always loved the name Sophia but the on the day of at the hospital I chose to go w/ my husbands choice. Just this month a friend of mine had a daughter and named her Sophia. :( WDYT....should I still use it? You know how ppl can be and I just don’t want to constantly hear" Oh you took my name" What are your thoughts on this? Thanks~Maria

Very early so we don’t know if its a boy or a girl yet...my husband and I have been putting together a list for a couple years in anticipation of a baby. I will list the names in the first comment and I would love to hear what everyone likes. I’m not into super popular/trendy names. And I don’t like really cutesy/girly names for girls. I want a name that is good for a young child and sounds good as an adult. Oh and the boys name has to be manly....no unisex names for my boy. So rate the names I’ve listed and feel free to Mix and Match the names as first and middle name combos. And even throw a few my way that I may not have thought of. Thanks!

I would love to have suggestions of boy names to go with Oliver! Would prefer something that doesn’t end in any of these sounds -er, -ee, -ah.

Which names do you think of as very uncool? Perhaps too dated, or so old-fashioned you could never revive them? I’m just wondering because lots of old names that I would consider incredibly archaic and passe (like Hazel or Abraham) are becoming popular again... so, folks, what names would you NEVER use because they are hopelessly dorky, old, or just plain uncool?

Thoughts on Naming your daughter Natalie when she isn’t born in december? The meaning is born on Christmas day, Should I let that sway my decision on naming her this?
