Hone your baby naming skills and help others. Which baby names are best?
Hi, I’m 18 and been married for six months. I’ve been pregnant for five (not a planned baby, but we’re still really happy to have one). Anyway, we’re not finding out what the sex is until the baby is born. We’re consentrating on girls names first. So here are our top three potenial names. We’d be open to spelling changes and middle name suggestions. Thanks!
P.S. My husband’s name is Nick
we need help narrowing our list so which ones should we knock off and why 1. Melanie 2. Christine 3. Joy 4. Victoria 5. Violet 6. Kayla 7. Lisa 8. Isabel 9. Brittany and 10. May

Expecting our first two children twin boys in july and have no names picked out yet. It’ll be between these three sets. Which names sound the best together? Thank you! Emily and Jonathan
How do you like this name for our soon to be baby girl?
Which spelling do you like the best? The name would be pronounced slightly different depending on which spelling I use. And what nicknames do you like for these names? Thanks everyone!
Need some opinions on these names! Middle name suggestions would also be helpful. Thanks so much!
I’m a writer, and I need a name for a girl who is slowly wasting away in her own lonelyness and abandonment by her family. She ends up making up her own imaginary world that is full of dark, and evil stuff, and ends up killing a lot of people because of it. Names for her? She’s 17.
Are there any names that you would avoid using because you know there are bad nicknames that go along with them (as in kids calling each other mean things)? For example, I like Natalie as posted in a few polls below, but I worry about the nickname Fat Nat or something mean like that.
I am wondering what kind of experience other people have had with nicknames...either their own or their child’s. If you want to avoid your child being called by a nickname that is common for their name (example - Sam for Samantha or Vicky for Victoria or Gabby for Gabriella) is it really possible? I know you can keep correcting people, but what happens when they get to school? There are so many girl names that I love but really don’t like the nicknames that go along with them. I’m trying to decide if I still consider them or just avoid them.
