Our son Misha needs a middle name. We are Russian so we gave him a Russian name that we both love. We want a more common middle name. These are two names that my husband and I like but we are open to any other suggestions. Thank you! Ana & Petr

I thought of Anneliese at work one day and was so excited, I emailed my wife to tell her and she politely told me she really didn’t like it. Is she wrong? I might work it so I am the one to tell the nurse the name and it would be legal then. Remember the old saying, ’It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.’

hi! My husband and I are having our second child together (a girl) that we want to name Florianne Elle and we already have a 4 yr old called Vivian Mathilda. The thing is my husband has a daughter from a previous relationship named (no joke) Deedee Love...I know...my husband says he didn’t have any input in choosing her name but now feels bad that we are giving our daughters feminine, elegant names and thinks we should go for something more common for our new baby. What do you guys think?? thanks! Margo

My husbands name is Mark Grant, his father is Mark Lane and his grandfather is Mark Henry...and the list goes on. We are having a little girl but the tradition in his family is the first born gets the "Mark" passed down. We have some variations. What do you think? Middle names are needed too! And it has to be a variation of Mark so any other suggestions would help! Lauren and Mark

My husband desperately wants our sons nn to be Trey (for third). He wants us to name him George Michael III and call him Trey. I have a religious conflict with that. In my religion we do not name children after the living, only after people who have led long, full lives. So I came up with Trenton, and we could still nn him Trey. Henry George was my husbands father’s name, and he recently passed. We just can’t decide so I thought I would go on here and see what you all thought. We have a daughter, Annabelle Anne (please don’t comment on her name!). She is 2. Thanks! Mollie
