My husband and I are in a deep debate. He votes for the name Miriam Evangeline, planning to call the baby Mimi. I think I would like to skip Miriam and simply name her Mim from the get-go. Our third option is to name our daughter after my grandmother which is a lovely option. My husband’s initials are M.A.L. so it could be nice to use my grandmother’s first name and my husband’s middle initial. Any suggestions or opionions would be fantastic! By the way, we have three other little girls - Kathryn Brooke, Victoria Genevieve, and Anneliese Justine.

OK... this is poll #3. We think we’ve come up with a name for our son. Micheil is pronounced "MY kuhl". What do you guys think of this Gaelic name? Thanks! Briana & Colum

When I was pregnant with my first son, we called him Cargo while he was in the womb ("my precious cargo..." that sort of thing) as a nickname while we were deciding on names. When he was born, we had decided on the name Jamison but decided why not go with Cargo? It felt right. So his name is Cargo Jamison (I just wanted to explain that so I didn’t get an uproar of questions or rude comments.) I am now pregnant with my second child, a girl. We want to give her a unique name to go with her brother’s name but we’re fresh out of creativity. Any suggestions? -Liza and Pete

My married name is Jones. Both of my grandmothers, one of which I was very close with, happened to be named Joan. Both have passed on and I would love love love to give my daughter this namesake but Joan Jones sounds absurd. Does anyone have any kind of suggestions to make this work or is it a lost cause?
