I NEED HELP!!! My DH and I never found the perfect name before my DD was born. We gave her the only name we could agree on and now I am sick with sadness because I hate it. I am not sure I hate the name as much as I feel it was a forced decision. If it were anything else, house, car, ect I could live with it but being as it is my daughter’s name I am considering changing it. She is 2 months old and I have been torn up about this since I left the hospital. Can anyone please tell me if you have experienced this or what you think is the best solution? DH is on board with changing it but he also likes the name she has. One of my biggest hang up with changing it is that she has been a certain name for 9 weeks-- it is almost like erasing the first weeks of her life isn’t it? But I am so scared in 10 years I will regret not doing something about it.
Hi! My name is Felicia and I’m expecting my second child. It’s a little girl and we are so happy to welcome her to the world. The only problem is that we can’t seem to agree on a name for her. We have a long list of names we like and need your help to narrow it down. Thank you! - Felicia, Owen and big brother Lincoln (2)
I know I pretty much just posted, and I apologize but even with people saying Darcy is nice I just can’t get myself to love it! Since I don’t want to shoot down my boyfriend completely, I’m looking for non unisex names that are kind of similar in style with Darcy. Do you have any ideas? Anne is going to be used as a middle name! Thanks and sorry if I seem picky or rude in any of my comments!
Hi! Amanda here again! I posted the "pick a top 5" post a while ago and got some great feedback about our list. But I feel like it will be easier to decide if I do a poll like this as well. I’m posting the same list and would love to hear your opinions! Our girl will be here very soon (she is our first) so we would like to find a name ASAP. Thank you! - Amanda and Aaron
Ok this is my last poll! I promise! We have for sure decided on Kendall Elisabeth and Carrigan Rylee nn Carrie! I couldn’t throw Rylee out!lol For Baby B, nothing is sticking with us like Kendall & Carrie! We like Addison nn Addie and Britton, but besides that, were not loving anything! Thanks for all your help!
I like the name Natalie but fear all the means nicknames that rhyme with it like FATalie or RATalie. I also don’t like Nat like a gnat. Should I stear clear of this name? Anyone have a Natalie or know of one and have they experienced any bad nicknames?
So- this might seem kinda silly, but I’m here to get you all to help me find a name for my Baby Think it Over doll who is on his way to me sometime this next week. I am only 15 years old and I have wanted a real baby since I was a little girl. Since I’m so young, I have the next best thing-a real care Baby Think it Over who is on his way to me. It will give me lots of practice for a real baby in my future (later future, not anytime soon) since I have to feed, rock, change, and burp him just like a real baby. These are the dolls they use in school. Please no rude comments...I know this is an odd request, but it’s better I’m trying to find a name for my "doll son" than an actual baby at my age!! Thanks so much for any help...~Ceegi~ (ps, I’ll post a link to his picture in a comment for inspiration!)
Hey there! My husband and I are welcoming our little princess soon however we do not have a first name for her. My husband is French, so we would like to use a French first name. We want something that is very elegant and beautiful but not too hard for people in America to pronounce. Do you have any suggestions? We have previously decided on Sylvie for her middle name. We hope everyone has a lovely and safe holidays! -Elinora and Jean-Paul
Hello! I’m Audrey and my husband is Juan, and I am expecting! We don’t know the gender, but we already know what we will name him if he’s a boy (Luke). So we have our 50 top girl names (some are sort of eccentric) and the rules of the elimination poll are: you have to eliminate at least one name and you can bring back one name for every two names you eliminate. I’ll try to post revised versions of the list every two or three posts. We don’t want to even think about middle names yet, we just want to get the first named picked, and so once we decide the first name, then we’ll probably make a poll for middle names. Siblings are Drew (5) and Emmett (2). (Oh and one other thing, I know a lot of you will think that the eccentric girl names won’t go well with Drew and Emmett’s normalish boy names, but please don’t eliminate a name on the grounds that it doesn’t fit with the other two.)
Hello again, it’s Mikayla. Some of you may remember me from last night. I’m a young mom pregnant with a baby girl. After a hard decision, I decided to put her up for adoption as I can’t provide for her at my age. The couple adopting her is letting me choose her name so she can have a tie to her birth mom. I got a lot of awesome comments last night and I’ll put my list of names in the first comment. Please eliminate only 1 at a time! Her last name will be Simpson. Thanks!
I need help on my long list of names I have for my baby boys. They are due within days. My actual due date was yesterday. So it could be any time. Please help me narrow it down. Names will officially eliminated when it is Eliminated twice. There is no bringing back. This is just for the first names. I will do another one with their middle names. Thank you
What names can you replace a letter with a "Y" and it still be useable but not tacky? I ask because I want a "Y" in my daughters name like there is in mine. Also, please comment any cute names that already has a "Y". Thanks, Alyssa
