I have always had a massive love of the name Nell for a little girl (also like the spelling Nelle) but now I am in a position to be naming a girl I am struggling to work out if Nell works well alone, or if it is better as a nickname, what are your views? I've looked at a few lists that show names that Nell can be short for and like Penelope the most (also don't mind the nickname Penny if it works out that way). What are your opinions? Thank you.

Jessey is not short for any other name. Freddie, however, is the sole nickname for the full name Winifred.

Hi there, Internet. Thought maybe you guys could help me out with the puzzle we're in (of our own design). Expecting a daughter. We have 4 year old boy/girl twins, Elliot Sebastien & Elise Vivienne. (I know most people don't like matchy twin names, but that's where I was at 4 years ago – I wouldn't have done that now, but unfortunately what's done is done!) I'm in a predicament - do I keep up the "E" thing and go with an "E" name, or do I come up with something different? I don't want to make the twins feel "othered" by having a sibling with a different initial name, but I also worry if we keep up with the "E" thing it will be tacky. Help? For E names for girls that we like are Emmeline, Eveline/Evelina, Evangeline, Esmé, Emilia. Names in general we like are Genevieve, Maëva, Phoebe, Daphne, Audrey, Sylvie, Amara, Cosima. But I'm looking for ideas! 💡 Any suggestions? Thank you in advance ❤️
