My brother is having a baby next month. He and his wife aren’t finding out the sex but they announce the names they had for a boy and a girl, and with their girl name choice it’s more on the unisex and masculine style of naming. My sister in law’s name is James and she has always loved her name despite being girly girl to the max, her and my brother wanted to use a name of quite similar style if they have daughter. I am really hoping they have a girl because I would love a little niece since I only have sons but I would want her to have a more girly and feminine name that is fit for a princess but I don’t know how to go into discussion with them about it without hurting my sister in law’s feelings since I most likely will offend her since her name is masculine.
Hi guys! I am a teen mom. I am having a baby girl soon and have decided to give her away for adoption. The reason why I am stating all this information is because the adoption parents let me decide on a name and that they will be fine with anything at all. But the thing is I want them to like it as well. So as a young girl I might not make a perfect choice for a couple of around 30 years old. So I would really appreciate suggestions of very versatile names (but please not names like Olivia, Emma, Elizabeth, Ava, Shophia or Charlotte. ) that people of their age group might like but at the same time not wayy to common (they said they liked names a little uncommon so I am guessing they will prefer that.)
Thanks a bunch. - Kat
I have always loved the names Isla and Lyla (lie-luh) and when I found out I was having go twins I was thrilled to know I could use both of these at the same time. The names we thought were,
Isla Ashton and Lyla Kennedy
(My husband loves unisex names and his dad’s name is Kennedy and my deceased brother’s name is Ashton so we thought we could maybe honor them.)
Our last name is Patterson. Thanks -Viki.
We chose not to find out the gender of our second baby and my husband loves the nickname Ash for either gender. We have Asher "Ash" picked out for a boy. We love Ashland and Ashby for a girl! Which do you like better? And which goes better with older brother Paxton Wesley who is 2? Middle name suggestions for Ashland or Ashby are also welcome. Thanks! ~Kat, Josh, Paxton and baby #2
I need help on my long list of names I have for my baby boy. Please help me narrow it down. Names will officially eliminated when it is eliminated twice. There is no bringing back. Thank you
We chose Asher "Ash" as our boy name for our second baby! We are still stuck between two names for a girl! But right now we are looking for help finding a middle name for Asher "Ash". Could you please suggest some middle names for boy name Asher? Our older son is named Paxton Welsey who is 2. Thanks again! ~Kat, Josh, Paxton and baby #2
Aria, Charlotte and Mia are our final favourites and we are struggling to pick. We like Aria because it’s pretty, unique and very original, Charlotte because it is elegant, classic and beautiful, and Mia for it’s girliness, simplicity and sweetness. Which? And we would LOVE to know why. Also, middle name suggestions are begged for so please comment. Thank you so much! Lou. P.S the spelling of Aria is not up for debate. If we call her this she is Aria, not Arya or any other variations. Thanks!
Older brothers are Joe and Jett
We also love the name Jaxen in lieu of John and are open to J name suggestions if you have any :)
My husband and I always had a love for the name Olivia. We think Olivia is a gorgeous name and we love the nickname Livy. But, our family and friends say that the name is too popular and our child will hate having a popular name. We love the name Olivia so much and we don’t mind that there are a lot of girls with the name, the little Olivia’s we met actually made us love the name more but we don’t want our child to hate her name. Is a popular name really that bad?
Our families love the names Alice, Nora, Evelyn, and Juliet but we do not. We know a lot of people these days love the names and are using them for their children but the names have never appealed to us and we just don’t love/like them at all. What are the reasons people love these names? Are there any variations of the names? We love names like Daphne, Kate, and Willa but both our parents and grandparents have been negative about the names we love (they say they are dated, sounds like names of strippers, and that they belong to women who are stuck up) and have pushing hard for us to use Alice, Nora, Evelyn, and Juliet for our daughter. We want to use the names we love but we don’t want our families to hate our daughter’s name either.
After LOADS AND LOADS of negative comments on our previous poll for Isla and Lyla as a pair, we’ve dicided to go for either one. Vote and comment on why. (It would be nice if you guys could quit virtually yelling about what’s wrong with me and my choice of names. The last comment we got from our previous poll isn’t appreciated.)
The names will be in the first comment.
