Hey there! My husband and I have been going crazy over three names: Lux, Luz, and Lark. The only problem is that they are all only one syllable and our last name is only one syllable. We don’t like how they flow with our last name but we haven’t found anything that’s longer that we like! We are looking for names that have a similar feel and style to the three above but are at least 2 syllables. The names do NOT have to begin with L (it was just a coincidence that those do) and we don’t want just longer versions of the three (though we don’t think any truly exist). Our last name rhymes with "Wave" if that’s helpful. Sorry this is so long, but thank you for your help!

Hi, I promise to keep this as short as I can! My husband and I are expecting our first child, a daughter, and I am looking for some outside help with her name. My husband’s family is very overbearing and, long story short, are trying to dictate every aspect of our unborn child’s life already. Since this our child, not theirs, I don’t want to be bullied into a name that they want (which would mean a very old family name). However my husband will be away for work for some time so I’m somewhat doing this by myself. I’m really looking for a name that is very feminine/girly, elegant, and is long/proper but has a cute/fun nickname. Do you have any ideas? Thank you all so much!

We are naming the boy Hudson but are torn between Noah & James as the mn(hubby’s first and middle name), which is best? For our daughter it’s the opposite we know the middle name will be Finley but are stuck between Lila, Anna & Ella for her first name, which sounds best with Hudson?

Hello, we are in search of names that is easy to pronounce both in French and in English! We spend our time between the United States and France throughout the year and have family that either only speak English or only speak French. While looking for a name that is easy to pronounce in both languages we still want the name to be special and not extremely common. Please suggest a few names for us. Thank you all!

My husband and I are expecting twins in July and need a hand with their middle names; we’ve chosen to go with Emma and Oliver for first names. Could you help out with middle names for them? We’d like to keep the family tradition of two middle names. Thank you! - Lisa & Jeremy

My husband and I were considering the name Sloan for our 5th son, he will be our last, but my younger brother is getting married to a beautiful woman whose name is Sloane. Back when they were just dating, my husband and I didn’t think this was a problem because we didn’t think they would get married since my brother always claimed he was never going to get married or have kids but that now has changed as he wants both. We are completely heartbroken over this and very angry and upset at my brother as he knew Sloan was our favorite name. My husband is absolutely against using the name now as he doesn’t want our son’s name associate with a woman (nothing against her personality as she is super sweet) in our family. I am still stuck on the name and I know he still loves it. Any advice on what we should do?

We’re expecting a girl and I like simple but kind of uncommon/quirky names like Penny, Jolie, Daphne, and Jones. But I can’t think of anymore that fit that style. Do you have any ideas?! Thanks!
