Kathleen or Katherine as a middle name? My mom and grandmother were both Kathleen’s and I wanted to give my daughter the middle name after them, however I prefer Katherine and don’t really like Kathleen. Does it defeat the purpose not using Kathleen or do you think using Katherine as a variation of Kathleen will be OK?

Middle Name! We’re having our last child. I’d like to use one of these family names as the middle name if we end up having another girl. We have two older daughters and no sons so I’m just going to assume we’re having a third girl. All have family names as middle names. Odessa is my great grandmothers name, she had no middle name. Stella is my husband’s granny’s name (who raised him). Her middle name is Mae. I kind of like Odessa Mae as an option but we want our children to have their own first names. Our oldest has 2 middle names (same as my husband) and our youngest has 1 (same as me) so if she had two it wouldn’t be abnormal for our family. Sorry to go on like this. Just wanted to lay it all out there. No possible first names at this point.

or Kennedy and Spencer. These are for twin girls. Our top four favorite names are Spencer and Clarke but we also like Cameron and Kennedy. Don’t want to use Cameron and Kennedy because we feel it is too close. We don’t want to use Cameron and Clarke because we don’t want them to have the same initials. We would like middle name suggestions and don’t suggest anything common like Marie, Grace, or Elizabeth. We are not asking for any first name suggestions or your opinions on these names. These are the names we love and we are going to use them. Thank you - Annie and Nick
