My husband really wants to go full Irish with our daughter’s name. I love Irish names and would be completely on board but we don’t live in Ireland anymore and I know (as an American) that most Americans will just scratch their heads at his choice of Caoimhe Eilis (keeva eye lish). I’ve tried looking up some alternatives but he’s kind of stubborn. Does anyone know some good, easy to pronounce Irish names? Thanks!
Hubby wants to name our daughter after his mom. I love the lady and would love to do so ... but I HATE, HATE, HATE her name: Hilary. I know it reminds him of his mom, but way more so it reminds me of Hilary Clinton ... a woman I despise. I told him this and he looked really disappointed. I asked what his mom’s middle name was and he looked even more disappointed ... replied, "She doesn’t have one." Sigh ... he’s willing to work with me on this, but ... with only one name, what are we supposed to do???
My husband and I are expecting our first child together, a little girl. He has three other daughters from his first marriage who have really masculine names, Charlie Ryan 11, Kevin Garner 9 and Carson Grey 6. I want to give our daughter a very feminine name but I worry that it will sound like we have three boys and one girl. Should we find a unisex first name or should we just name her the name we love which is Gemma Brielle? Thanks! ~Kellie
Could I please get 1 girl name and 1 boy name suggestion for each letter of the alphabet (something you actually like though; nothing random). If you truly can’t think of something you like (I know the end of the alphabet gets hard), then you can skip a letter as necessary. Many thanks for the help, Megan
Having triplets and I need middle names 2 boys and a girl. Zander and Zaelyn are boys and I need a girl name that starts with Z.
Hi all! I’m currently pregnant with my first daughter. My husband and I have a little boy named Ivan and now we’re trying to decide on a name for our daughter. His grandmothers name was Virginia and he and I would really like to honour her in some way. We thought Ginny was a nice sounding name, but we did have someone express that they didn’t think it could stand on its own. So we just wanted some opinions on whether people thought Ginny can hold its own as a full name.
Hello everyone! We are thrilled to announce that we are expecting our second child soon and could use both boy and girl name suggestions. However, we have a bit of a challenge for you! As we are both doctors, we are looking to find a name that none of our patients have. We don’t mind if middle names are more common but first names must be something unique! Our first daughter is Millie Rose(3) (and surprisingly we have never had a patient named Millie). Thanks for your help:)
WE HAVE COMBINED OUR FAVS LISTS TOGETHER AND ARE TRYING TO NARROW IT DOWN BUT WE ARE STUCK. WE HAVE NOT FOUND OUT WHAT WE ARE HAVING YET. PLEASE CHOOSE ONE MIDDLE NAME FOR EACH FIRST NAME. OR TELL US YOUR FAVORITE NAME AND LEAST FAVORITE NAME OUT OF OUR LIST FOR A GIRL AND A BOY. WE KNOW ITS ALOT SO THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP.
Repost from yesterday. So, yesterday, we were told this is a cheesy idea, which is fine. Just wanted some additional perspective. My husband and his family have a deep relationship with the University of Miami. We have a daughter named Mia Lauren, and would like to name the second child Ami Charlotte. Yes, that would almost spell Miami. Yes, they would be themed names. Honestly, I think the think is somewhat subtle. I mean, people name their children after flowers- the whole family, or even movies- Katniss and Primrose for example, and even cars! Is using two names we happen to love so bad? Ami is a variant of Amy, and means beloved. So, go ahead, give me the truth.....
Looking for some girl name suggestions. Anything would help but we like names that aren’t super popular. Thanks
My mom is Anita and his is Marilyn. We’re naming our first (and probably only) child Marianna after both of them. We want her to have her own middle name - not after anyone. He loves Ivy and I don’t. I love Faye and he doesn’t. We’ve decided to come here to see if you all could suggest name(s) we both might like. Thanks so much.
Posted earlier and eliminated Jaiden. This is for our baby girl. One commenter suggested Marley River, we really like it but is it too gender neutral? Thanks!
