This is a little bit complicated, and I definitely need some advice. We are expecting our first baby, a little girl, and had chosen a name that we thought was perfect for our daughter. My husband is from a Jewish family, so we thought a Hebrew name to honor his heritage would be a really cool idea. The name we chose was Adina Lilly. We had a family baby shower, and we made what I guess was the mistake of telling our families the name we had chosen. The only person to react poorly was my husband’s mother, who, since we found out we were having a girl, has wanted us to name our daughter after her. (My mother in law’s name is Esther, which isn’t a terrible name by any means, but it’s just not a name I want to give my daughter)She’s insisting that our daughter is going to be named Esther, and is now calling her "Essie". She also says that even if we chose something else, she will call our daughter Esther and introduce her to others as that as well. This is incredibly frustrating for us, and I guess I’m wondering how we stand our ground on our daughter’s name? Thanks for any help!
Ok, everyone! I need as many girl and boy names as possible to narrow down. Whether elegant and unique or not, I need as many as possible! Thanks so much!
All names welcome, but preferably names like Eleanor and Lucille. Thank you! :)
It is Libby again and I’m here with my husband, upon further discussion my husband came up with October as a full name for Tobey, I added to that and wonder if we could use just Tober, since it’s close to Topher and Tobin, as his first name. If not, we have decided on Todd Noble as his double first name since Tate, Tristan, and Truitt didn’t work out. What do you think of October and Tober? Which of the 3 do you prefer? Older sisters are Rosemary Harlow and Darcey Florence. Thanks again~ Tim, Libby, Rosa, Cece, and Tobey
Hey I was due yesterday and my wife and I still aren’t sure what to name our son. A friend suggested this site so I’m giving it a try. List is in the first comment. Thanks!
Due with our second child in May, this time a girl! Our boy is 2 - year - old Adam Sebastian-Paul. For our girl, we want her first name to begin with D to honor her uncle. We like Delta, Denise, Delaney and Diana. We dislike Daphne, Dawn, Danielle, Destiny, Delilah, Darby, Darcy, Deanna.. we would love other suggestions. Her middle name will be either Margaret, Evangeline, Meredith or Penelope. Thank you!
We’re having a baby in July and we’re stumped for names. I like hippy names and my husband likes vintage names. I want a name that could be both, but none of our ideas sound right. We like Alice, Hazel, and Rowan, but need some inspiration. Thanks! Colleen
Please describe your first thought of the following names. Are they cute, boring, spunky, old fashioned, modern, etc. thanks! Names are Madelyn, Molly, Abigail, Lydia, Claire, Mckenzie and Savannah. Thanks!!
Thoughts in the name Bronael? No it’s not a real name, but all real names have to start somewhere. We love the sound of it and friends and family all seemed to like it too, but we want to get some outside opinions. Thanks, Casey and Wyatt
