Hello. I really like "Helena". My husband fears that she will always have to clarify how to pronounce her name. He also thinks there are too many cities with this name. He doesn’t particularly like the mythology and the connections to literature neither. I think it’s great. I’m looking for some fresh opinions. Please also put how you would pronounce it. Thank you! ~Kate

We are keeping the gender a surprise. Their middle name will be Oliver for a boy and Eliza for a girl (both family names) please only eliminate one name. Siblings are Harper Catherine, Darcy Patrick & Emerson David. Thanks!

Hubby wants to name our daughter after his mom. I love the lady and would love to do so ... but I HATE, HATE, HATE her name: Hilary. I know it reminds him of his mom, but way more so it reminds me of Hilary Clinton ... a woman I despise. I told him this and he looked really disappointed. I asked what his mom’s middle name was and he looked even more disappointed ... replied, "She doesn’t have one." Sigh ... he’s willing to work with me on this, but ... with only one name, what are we supposed to do???

My husband and I are seriously considering naming our daughter Sofia. What do you think of it? Feel free to be completely honest; if you hate it, tell me. Thanks in advance!

I am having my first daughter, to join my sons Cedric James "Ced" and Henry Louis "Hank." She will be called either Brie, Lottie (do not like Charlotte), or Edie. Middle name suggestions are welcome.

Hello there. As you read from my title, I have had my mind set for a very long time that I would name my first son Colin (one meaning is cub, which is extremely important for me). Of course, the man I fell in love with happens to have the last name Hall, and we have sadly agreed that Colin Hall just doesn`t have the right flow for us. If anyone has any suggestions, maybe a name that is similar or has a similar meaning (bear or cub), I would really appreciate the suggestions! Thank you all.

Avery was the name of my husbands grandfather and we would really like to honor him in our first childs name but since Avery is used quite frequently for little girls would a double name be better? John was the name of my grandfather and we think John-Avery is very strong and handsome. What are your thoughts on using John-Avery / just Avery. Michael and Alexander are both just names we like but we feel like it’s a mouthful. Thank you for helping, -K & P Bryant
