What are some names other than Layla that could work for the nickname "lay"? We do like Layla, but would like a few more options. "Lay" comes from the name Soleil, our daughter’s current name. We adopted both Soleil and her older sister Colline (prn like Colleen) a few months ago and we would really like to change Lay’s name to something more appropriate. Colline is old enough to know and spell her name and she doesn’t want to change it, but to her, her little sister’s name is only "Lay" or "Lay-lay", not Soleil, so there is still a chance to change it. Please offer suggestions. Thanks!

We have a son Levi and a daughter Ruby. We’re expecting baby number three and gender is unknown. We have a short list of boys and girls names but none of them seem to sit well. We like old fashioned names with a biblical twist for boys, but any suggestions are appreciated. We try to stay out of the top 200 for popularity. Our lists so far... Boys: Seth Ross Ezra Theo Girls: Iris Nora Tess Alys Any suggestions are appreciated!

We have a little girl, Emmeline Rose who we call Emmy-To, which is the name of a type of flower. We were wondering if we should keep the ’flower’ theme for our second daughter, who will be called Sierra. So far we only have Naomi and Milan for her middle names but we’re not sure

Please help us eliminate our long list of girl names. We’d like names to go well with Henry Blake and Emma Rose. Thank you.

I love this lengthy and brilliant name! I always have, especially since it means ’protection’. The only problem I have is that it has too many great nicknames to choose from (if that’s even a problem). So, please comment with YOUR favourite nickname and why. The ones we can come up with are Mina, Minna, Billie, Willa and Minnie but you might have others and that’s fine. Thank you~ Grace
