I found out a few weeks ago that I am pregnant and want to get a jump start on names. DH and I have a boys name picked out already (had it for years) and now we are looking for the perfect name for a girl. WDYT about these names: Ziona (pronounced like Fiona and dh really likes this one), Arabella, Adrienne, Vanessa, Violet, Valerie, Samara, Annika? Thanks!

Ok, so this isn’t exactly a poll for names but I figured it was a great place to get opinions on the subject. Is it alright to "take" a name that one of your sisters likes? Even if she is not married and not planning on having kids for a while. So who knows if her future husband will even like the name, right? Dh likes a name and suggested it to me, I didn’t like it at first just because I knew my sister did but now it has really grown on me. Just some fyi for you too...I have seven sisters (three bio and four step) and some of the names I like and planned to maybe use were taken by some of them. Thank you all for your help and opinions on this subject.

I know this is a site for naming your baby. However, I’m prepareing to receive my confirmation and I need to choose a name. I’d like something that flows well with my name: Christina Marie. If you have any suggestions, they’d be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I had a baby on November 8th, 2009 and I would love to share the birth of my baby girl Sara Faith to the rest of the world because I am so proud of her choosing My hubby and I as her parents and Benjamin Shane and Jasmine Rose as her siblings. She has 4 loving grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins to give her much attention. From: Shane & Nicole Johnson and Benjamin & Jasmine Johnson. Donald & Shirley Johnson and Henry & Michelle Whitaker.

We are looking for a girls name to fit with our three other daughters. We want a fresh-sounding (if that makes any sense), short, uncommon name. Our older three are Calla Rowan, Audra Maren, and Maeve Nola. Middle names would be greatly appreciated as well! Thanks!

I’m expecting a little girl in just a few days time and still don’t have a name for her. I want her to have a double first name (WITH a hyphen). One of those names will be Rose. Her middle name will be Belle or Bella. (Both Rose and Belle/Bella are after family members. They’re staying). I’ve got a list of names which I’ll post in the first comment. Please help me decide before she comes along! Thankyou - Yaz.

Hi I’m Carly and my boyfriend’s name is Jordan. On January 3rd 2010 we are going to become young parents although I won’t say what ages we are I will just say that we are between the ages of 15 and 21. Thats all I will say about that. Anyway, we are having a little boy and we need help naming him. I love the name Jacob James nn JJ but I know how popular the name Jacob is. Jordan loves the name Noah Preston but I think Preston is a little too plain. As you can see we want a name that is unique but not too out there. It can be a little popular, but not TOO popular. We need first name and middle name suggestions. Thanks a million ~Carly,Jordan and our son. PS. If you could please give some advice about being young parents that would mean a lot. We are really nervous. But excited of course. We would just like to get some advice. Thanks again

Penn and Janie Reid once again. We rethought the spelling, as some of you suggested, and are going with the spelling Shannon instead of Shanen. We need a middle name, we’re considering Matthew and Beckett, but we still aren’t sure. Your help is very much needed. Thanks. - Penn and Janie
