Hi there, in the past I have always gone with simpler names when choosing for my children. I have 4 girls from a previous marriage and am expecting a baby (unknown gender) with my husband. My girls are Emma, Eliza, Grace, and Lucy, which are all still cute, trendy names that I love. My husband wants a longer, more colorful name for our child, though, and thinks we should branch out. So far he likes for boys, Archer, Dayton, Tristan, Zane and Carson and for girls Mckenna, Sienna, Paisley, Elle, and Reese. So far for girls I like Chloe, Ava,Claire and Alexa and for boys Mason, Leo, Luke and Alex. What do you think of our name choices?

I posted months ago regarding this name when I first found out I was pregnant. Most comments felt it was too masculine but I can’t get the name off my mind. It reminds me of Alice so it does seem very pretty and feminine to me? Do you think this would be a suitabe name for my daughter? I usually like classic names like Catherine, Iris, Amelia

*I posted last night and got great feedback, thanks everyone! Anticipating some more great opinions this time around :) We are a blended family full of lots of C and K names, but we are expecting twins (the first of my husband and I’s children together) and want to break the trend. We have five beautiful girls, Cadence, Kyler, Krista, Kendall and Cheylin-Grace, and our only boy (bless him!) is Cory. The twins are B/G and we are thinking Emma and James as names (we have a few others, I will post in first comment), will they feel left out? I don’t know if we can handle two more C and K names in this nut house!!! Help?

I need a girl’s name! It MUST START WITH AN A. I also need a middle name that must start with M. My daughter’s name is Amara (uh mar ruh) Madison and I’d like my girls to have the same initials. I don’t like names like Amelia, Ava, Alice, Andrea, Madelyn, Marcy, May/Mae, Mia... Thank you! Last name BROWN. Thank you!

Hi I need suggestions on girl first names that will go well with the middle name Mary. Up for anything but really like shorter names or names that can be shortened with a nickname. Thanks!

A few months back I posted about open or closed adoptions. I went with a semi-open, they allowed me to help name the baby and his name is Jason Elijah. He was born a month early (Jan. 12,2012). He was 17in long and weighed just over 5lbs. I think he is very happy with his mother and father. I thought I would let anyone who helped know. :) Haley Ryan

Hey! Just curious- if you had to change your name to something what would you change it to? Just wondering if naming yourself is any different than naming your children! Please comment below!

Hi there, I am really interested in the meaning of names and having my childrens names mean something special/be after special people. I had a list of names as well as their meanings and noticed that Jack means John, as it is a variations of the name, Paul means small and Mathewson/Mathieson which means son of Matthew. My Husbands name is Matthew John, and so Paul Mathewson Jack would have the meaning "Small son of Matthew John", which we both LOVE, but we prefer Jack to Paul. Do you think it would be okay to use Jack Mathewson/Mathieson Paul which technically means "John son of Matthew small", but backwards would mean "Small son of Matthew John". Opinions on the name, the meaning and which way we should have the names. Thank you!
