Hey all, my name is Alexa and I’m having a baby boy. I could use all of your help! I was thinking about naming my son Liam, but the father- who is African American doesn’t like it. Now, the reason I mentioned his ethnicity is because I am Caucasian and he feels like the name won’t fit him. I have agreed to find another name. I don’t really feel as though there are racial specific names, so this is where I need your help. I would love some suggestions! Thank you everyone!

Hello everyone! My name is Lauren! I just found out that I’m am having a baby and I’m so excited! So, my grandfather who passed away 3 years ago used to tell me and my brother, Aiden, an old Irish legend called "The Children of Lir". My grandfather was like a dad to me because my mother was never really around when I was little. I wanted to name my child after a character from that story to in a way honour my grandfather. My brother did the same thing with his son. His name is Conn(kun) so I cannot use that name. The girls’ names are: Aoibh(ee-ve), Fionnuala(fuh-new-luh), and Aoife(ee-fuh). The boys’ names are: Aodh(ay), Lir(leer), and Fiachra(fee-akh-ra). Just to let you know who they were, Lir was the king, Aoibh was Lir’s wife, Fionnuala was their daughter, Aodh and Fiachra were Aoibh and Lir’s sons. Aoife was the rather jealous sister of Aoibh who married Lir after Aoibh passed. Not really fond of the name Aoife though. Please comment and help me choose a name! I would like a more modern middle name if you have any suggestions. Thanks! ~Lauren(:
