If we name our son Elias and pronounce it the way we love the name: El-e-us, do you think we will have a problem constantly correcting people? I’m learning that most people pronounce the name e-Lie-us in the U.S.

Hey there! I’m looking for some sweet middle names for Claire. We’ve got a one syllable last name, so I’m thinking the middle needs to be longer. Thanks for your help! :)

Here are a bunch of names that my hubby and I adore. Please keep in mind which will go with our family. My hubby and I are both teachers. I teach elementary school and he teaches High School Chemistry. We are both into rock music and my father is a Rock/Blues full time musician. So we want a name that is not too odd yet not too common or plain either. I will post the first comment which will be the names included and only included in the poll. You can eliminate one boy and only girl name and please do not eliminate more than one from each. The ending names will be declared winners but that doesn’t set them in stone. ;) Please also list why you eliminated the name, if possible. Thanks.

Originally, I had a name picked out if we had a boy, but, suddenly I’ve decided that I don’t like it anymore. So, now I’m back to the drawing table! Can you help? None of those ’C’ names have very good meanings; but I liked how each sounded.

I know I’ve done this poll a few times, but it is always 50/50, so I’m sticking with these two names until I see my daughter on Feb 3rd. - I can’t wait! I picture a darker girl being a Gabriella and a blonde being Alice. I am blonde and my husband is dark, so we’ll see. I think both would be nice names to go with her sister, Gracie Mae. Thanks for all the opinions and suggestions~Erin
